2024 July Lyric Management mini-Playlist
Welcome to the July mini-newsletter - the Lyric Management mini-Playlist! A quick reminder about upcoming events.
PMP/CAPM Exam Prep Study Group
The Study Group is off to a great start. These are virtual gatherings of those starting or mid-way on their PMP or CAPM studies, and are open to anyone. I hope that some who have recently completed their PMP will join in to share their own lessons learned. We’ve had six sessions so far (three orientation and three study sessions), with the next scheduled for 23 and 24 July. Register here.
Upcoming session
Tuesday 23 July at noon (Pacific time), this orientation session will include introductions, an overview of the PMP and CAPM application and exam processes, and discussion about how the study sessions work.
Wednesday 24 July at 9am and at noon (Pacific time), in these study sessions we’ll do a quick round of introductions, talk about tips, tools, and tricks for preparation, and then dive into some sample exam questions.
More info and registration is here - and I've created a created a poll to get a better understanding of what works for people day-, time-, and frequency-wise for future sessions. Please check them out and join in.
Whether you're considering or starting your PMP/CAPM journey, or already completed it, you're welcome to attend anytime to learn, contribute, and connect with others on the same path. I hope you'll consider joining some time.
Learning and Networking
Coming up in July will be the return of the Learning Circle, a group or community of people learning together, with and from each other. It is a peer-supported, mentor-facilitated virtual/remote study group, focusing on a specific topic and/or goal. Visit our website here for more information and to register.
BioConnect BC (aka DRINKS Vancouver) events continue through the summer - 24 July and 14 August. I’m aiming to be there for both, so come by and say hello if you’re in the neighbourhood.

Coaching sessions available
Perhaps your reflections and goal-setting could benefit from some coaching. Coaching and directive mentoring can help you with defining your priorities and achieving your goals by providing a safe and supportive environment for thinking, planning, and evaluating where you are and where you want to go. Whether your starting out on your career or at a mid-life crossroads, working with a coach can help you realize what you want and then make solid plans to achieve just that.
I'm looking to work with a few more people in the upcoming months. If you've been curious about coaching, why not book a free exploratory session with me?

SCUD Day
This newsletter is coming to you on 08 July, which is National SCUD Day. SCUD stands for Savor the Comedy, Unplug the Drama, which sounds like terrific advice any time. Be sure to treat yourself today to a SCUD moment or several.
Feedback
Thank you for being a part of my little-company-that-can. I hope you enjoy these occasional missives, and that they allow you to connect with me and others.
I’m just getting started with using Substack for my newsletters. I'd love to hear what you think.
